Not that I needed any more reasons to love the mobile space, but I came across these two videos from companies that are not only thinking ahead, but they’ve articulate their visions beautifully into some slick demos.

The first clip is from QPC, a mobile platform company that is pushing boundaries in the augmented reality (AR) space. Many technologists believe that AR could be the next big thing in mobility – the logical evolution of location-based services. The video below is a demo of QPC’s Articulated Naturality Web technology that joins AR with web content.

The next clip is from the Swedish user interface firm The Astonishing Tribe (TAT). Their demo is an excellent series of what-if use cases showcasing the future of mobile screen technology (hard to even call them mobile devices).

Earlier this year, we celebrated our ten-year anniversary -- an exciting milestone for a company competing in such a rapidly changing space. We were part of the mobile internet right from the very start, pioneering the gateways and protocols that would bring the internet to the circuit-switch world of mobile telecommunications.

Today we continue to do what we've always done: build software that empowers service providers all over the world to deliver the best online experience to every connected device. We get energized by all the innovative ideas and companies that are out there looking to harness the mobile platform. The two examples above really drive home the importance of understanding context – capturing the right data about a user so that the mobile experience is as rich as possible.

It is an exciting time in the industry. Sometimes it’s nice to stop and remember how fortunate we are to be a part of it.
