Openwave Partners can further their own goals by achieving customer penetration and financial rewards that they could not otherwise achieve. Specifically, our partners generate revenue for themselves in the following ways:
- License mark up. Partners enjoy a protected discount on Openwave list prices for products and solutions.
- Hardware mark up - Partners may have their own channels for delivering hardware locally at discounted rates.
- Maintenance and Support - Partners may choose to provide (and charge for) support services at their own rates.
- Services - Partners can be trained to deliver services for installation and deployment of Openwave products, customization of Openwave products and custom application development. This can generate substantial revenue.
Openwave provides Partners with extensive access to all levels of training, marketing, sales and technical resources, with a strong focus on joint planning and the development of mutually beneficial customer relationships..
Categories of Openwave Partner
Openwave actively seeks and supports the following types of partners:
- SI partners with existing service-oriented telecommunications business with mobile and or fixed-line operators. SI partners will re-sell Openwave products and add their own SI capabilities to deliver these solutions and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. SI partners may or may not have their own existing products in the telecommunications field.
- Agent Partners. Typically smaller organizations in regions where there may be limited Openwave staff and who have existing relationships with prospective customers. Agent Partners will typically introduce Openwave products and services and assist in navigating local customs and rules to complete a sale.
- OEMs looking to integrate complementary telecom product technologies with Openwave solutions and act as sales lead in promoting the derived joint value proposition to prospective customers.
