  Openwave Receives Award from Frost & Sullivan
 
Openwave® Accelerator has received the Frost & Sullivan 2009 Award for Technology Innovation in the North American Mobile Data Services Market. "As the consumer demand for data continues to grow so will the data traffic on operator networks that will force operators to evaluate ways to better manage capacity and optimize bandwidth," said Brent Iadarola, global program director for the mobile & wireless communications group, Frost & Sullivan. The Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) announced the shortlist for the 2009 Meffys Mobile Entertainment Awards which were selected after three days of judging involving 43 international press and analysts. Now in their sixth year, the 180+ submissions reflected innovative content, services, applications and handsets deployed across more than 60 countries, intensifying the level of international competition and prestige.

Openwave has been shortlisted for "Openwave Mobile Analytics" in the Business Intelligence Category.



Openwave Receives Top Marks in Messaging for the Second Year in a Row in Radicati's 2009 Report
 
Market research firm Radicati Group ranked Openwave as a market leader and top player in the firm's annual 2009 Messaging Platforms for Hosted Email Providers Market Quadrant. The report analyzes key vendors in the messaging space, based on market share and functionality, and is intended for investors, organizations, service providers and vendors who need to make informed decisions about messaging platforms for the hosted email providers market. Openwave Recognized by Mobile Entertainment Forum
 
The Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) held its showcase MEFFY Awards ceremony in Monte Carlo in early June to promote the mobile entertainment industry. The gala, designed to recognize visionary and pioneer expertise fundamental to mobile entertainment, gave the Special Recognition Award to the creators of WAP, the technology from which Openwave was founded. The award was accepted by Openwave's Mark Cataldo who chairs the OMA Technical Plenary, a direct descendent of the WAP Forum.
