REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - August 04, 2005 -- Openwave Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: OPWV), the leading provider of open software products and services for the communications industry, today announced that SmarTone-Vodafone has chosen Openwave® IP Voicemail and Video Voicemail solutions to provide customers personalized communications services. Openwave IP Voicemail and Video Voicemail are fully integrated, IP, SIP and VoiceXML- based call answering solutions for service providers. Both applications are highly customizable, fully featured alternatives to legacy call answering solutions and run seamlessly on the same platform. A single user interface manages both voice and video calls and enables SmarTone-Vodafone to offer their customers an intuitive, easy-to-use experience.
