  Openwave Executives to Present during Sessions on "My Mobile Phone for My Lifestyle" at ITU and "Mobile Entertainment: Today and Tomorrow" at 3G World Congress
 
REDWOOD CITY, CA - December 3, 2006 -- Openwave Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: OPWV), the leading provider of independent software products and services for the communications industry, today announced Openwave executives will participate in key panel discussions at this year's ITU Telecom World and 3G World Congress conferences in Hong Kong on December 4-8, 2006. Hamilton Hitchings, director of services, and Guillaume Decugis, vice president of Musiwave, an Openwave company, will discuss key industry trends and the role of software and services in driving innovation of personalized content and communications.

Openwave will also be on hand during ITU Telecom World to demonstrate the Openwave® MIDAS application development environment and Openwave® Browser, Mercury Edition in the Trolltech booth #11036. Trolltech is the company that makes software faster to build and easier to use. Both Openwave and Trolltech share a commitment to Linux, which eases the application development process and promotes the rapid time to market of new applications and services. Openwave supports Trolltech's Greenphone, and the Company's latest client products will be offered to handset manufacturers on the Qtopia platform.
