  Openwave offers a richly featured and modular messaging suite built for use in a wide variety of mobile devices. It supports industry-standard messaging protocols and functions for Short Messaging Services, Enhanced Message Services and Multimedia Messaging Services for GSM, CDMA, and other networks, in addition to operator specific customizations.

 

  Openwave® SMS, EMS, and MMS Clients are part of Openwave's overall messaging software portfolio, which also includes Instant Messaging, Email and Push-to-talk Over Cellular (PoC) technologies. Openwave's messaging products have been developed using a common architectural framework and may be delivered as standalone components or as part of a broader integrated suite allowing more rapid delivery of segment specific handsets. As part of Openwave Phone Suite Version 7, Openwave SMS, EMS, and MMS Clients support a fully customizable native UI, integrated inbox, unified compose and best messaging functionality for a highly intuitive user experience.

Integrated Solution
 
Openwave SMS, EMS and MMS Clients share common architectural elements and APIs with other messaging components, and may also be delivered fully integrated with a powerful UI within Openwave Phone Suite Version 7, improving the ease with which manufacturers can deliver a variety of messaging options across their handset portfolio.

User Friendly
 
Openwave messaging clients are designed in a flexible manner so that a device manufacturer can deploy any combination of the supported messaging technologies (SMS, EMS and/or MMS) to enable a more intuitive user experience. When implemented with full UI capabilities, manufacturers can enable a single inbox for all messages as well as the same composer and viewer for all message types. As a result, users face a much shorter learning curve and can easily choose the most appropriate mode of messaging when they need it.
