  Emergency Edition

Personal safety is a leading driver in the purchase of mobile phones and there is no better way for operators to fulfill this need than by identifying a subscriber's location in an emergency.

Openwave's Location Manager Emergency Edition (LMEE) is a mature offering built from over a decade of experience as a leading location-based services infrastructure provider.

Meet Mandates

FCC order 94-102 mandates that all U.S. wireless operators have the ability to deliver Phase II information and routing. The EU passed the Universal Service Directive that requires member nations to adopt regulations requiring operators to have 112 in place. Companies not in compliance face stiff financial penalties.

LMEE supports U.S. Phase I and II E-911 mandates while LMEE International (.pdf) is uniquely suited to meet Phase 2 of Canada's E-911, Europe's E-112 and Japan's 110 regulatory mandates.

Flexible Architecture

The Openwave Location Manager Emergency Edition offers maximum flexibility to fit in any operator's network regardless of network type, switch architecture, platforms and location technologies. Additionally, the solution is designed to ensure streamlined provisioning of Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and to enable customization of PSAP interfaces.

99.999% Reliability

Openwave’s Location Manager currently delivers E911 support to over 50 million subscribers with deployments operating at 99.999% reliability.
