The Openwave Mobile Access Gateway has been built using the most innovative and mature mobile Internet technology available today, including support for WAP 1.x as well as the forthcoming WAP 2.0 standard and the GSM Association's M-Services Initiative. As a mature and carrier-proven solution, it already is part of the core infrastructure at more than 85 service providers representing more than 30 million WAP users all over the world.

Broad Content Support -- enables the delivery of rich content such as HTML, cHTML, and xHTML. The content translator allows Openwave solutions to support new features easily and provides backward compatibility with earlier versions of WML and HDML.

Multimedia -- enables content like pictures, music, images, graphics, and ring tones. Supports the Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) standard including multimedia person-to-person messaging and multimedia downloads.

Varied Billing Models -- improves class of service by differentiating service offerings for groups of subscribers, including the capability to control the subscriber's home page and access to content. Provides extensive event tracking and activity records that can be used to perform both pre- and post-paid billing. Embeds application-specific data into transaction records so that operators can share revenue from application-specific charges.

MAG with Services
 
Existing customers can continue to offer legacy WAP services through Openwave's Mobile Access Gateway (MAG) while using Openwave Integra to launch new services to their subscriber base. MAG with Services also supports a seamless migration from MAG to the new Integra platform.
