  Openwave® OpenWeb

With over 50 million active sites on the Internet, only a fraction offer even limited mobile versions of their web content. It's no wonder that most browsing is still done from PCs. But that's changing.

Openwave OpenWeb lets operators increase their data revenues by giving subscribers the mobile Internet — the web of their PC on their mobile device. OpenWeb is a content adaptation platform that transparently intercepts requests for all standard web sites and converts the web pages into highly compressed, functional WAP2 pages.

OpenWeb converts and reformats web pages for the mobile screen throughout a user session, on the fly. It also provides numerous service enhancements, including content filtering, device management, rich media transcoding, user billing and user authentication to improve operator control.

OpenWeb facilitates a sticky user experience that increases data traffic and the revenue associated with it. Coupled with Openwave's Mobile Advertising Solution and Location Services, OpenWeb enables operators to leverage their most unique asset - information about subscriber preferences and location — to generate revenue from targeted, personalized and context-based merchandising and advertising.
